Materials We
Specialize In

At JR MetalWorks, we work with a wide range of metals every day, from precision aluminum components to rugged armor plate steel. Below are our core materials of expertise, organized by type.

If you are looking for something not listed below, we’re flexible and open to working with nearly any metal. Whether it’s a specialty alloy or an uncommon thickness, our team will source and process what your project demands from prototype to production.

Aluminum Alloys

  • 5052-H32 — Excellent formability and corrosion resistance
  • 6061-T6 / 6061-T651 — The shop favorite for strength and machinability
  • 3003 — Easy to form and weld; great for sheet metal projects
  • 2024 — High-strength aerospace-grade aluminum
  • 1XXX Series (O Temper) — Pure, easy-to-form aluminum for specialized forming applications

Stainless Steels

  • 304 Stainless Steel — Industry-standard for corrosion resistance
  • 316 Stainless Steel — Marine-grade durability for the toughest conditions
  • 4 Brushed Stainless (¼” / 6.35 mm and thicker) — Ideal for architectural and finished-surface applications
  • 301 Stainless (Spring Temper) — High-strength and flexible for spring or clip applications
  • 17-7 Stainless — Precipitation-hardening stainless used in high-performance parts
