At this time we have an opportunity for an Entry-level Project Designer on our day shift.
Job Duties:
- Create and review technical drawings to meet specifications.
- Create job travelers.
- Perform tolerance analysis on critical assemblies.
- Meet with suppliers, customers, and project stakeholders to review/alter designs as needed.
- Modify designs to correct operating and production issues.
- Provide installation support.
- Attend team meetings to provide progress reports, obtain updates on colleagues’ progress, strategize on steps for following week and acquire information about projected emerging product lines.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: 2+ years of design experience is preferred, but not required. Experience with SolidWorks or Inventor CAD software is required.
- Knowledge: Able to read and comprehend drawings. Able to follow written and oral instructions. Able to write simple correspondence and work instructions. Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals. Able to understand and use the metric system. Able to work independently, and problem solve and communicate effectively. Able to use computers.

- Must be willing to help fellow team members with tasks that may not necessarily involve normal job duties to relieve burden on them and contribute to team goals when needed.
- MUST BE EXTREMELY DETAIL ORIENTED & ORGANIZED.
- Must be flexible and willing to work in a fast-paced and sometimes noisy environment.
- Must work efficiently and safely while minimizing distractions from work during work hours from start to finish.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must see the end of the day as when the to-do list is done instead of what the time is on the clock.
Work Environment
This position is primarily in an office environment but will occasionally be in a production manufacturing setting with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the manufacturing work environment can be loud.
