Position Summary

The General Laborer supports daily production operations by assisting welding and fabrication departments and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The General Laborer is expected to develop working knowledge of company processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across departments.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring production efficiency, product accuracy, and adherence to JR Metal Works’ quality standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist welding and other production departments in all aspects of daily operations, including material handling, part preparation, and general shop support.
• Monitor production output to identify defects, dimensional inaccuracies, or quality concerns and promptly report discrepancies.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, completeness, and uniformity to ensure compliance with specifications and uphold JR Metal Works LLC quality standards.
• Maintain tools, measuring instruments, and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition, report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs immediately.
• Complete required documentation related to inspections, materials, processes, and production activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop and work areas in accordance with company housekeeping and safety standards.
• Learn and follow JRMW production processes and work instructions for assigned parts and tasks.
